A Taiwanese grandfather has become popular for playing Pokemon Go on 21 mobile phones. The 70-year-old has been obsessed with the augmented reality (AR) game since his grandson introduced him to it in 2016.
Chen San-yuan started with a single handset, then added a dozen more before he added additional phones to his current array of 21.
Chen said playing on multiple phones allows him to reach higher levels of the game and capture rarer creatures. Chen’s “day job” is a Taoist master or priest, but at night he turns into a Pokemon “master.”
Videos of Chen and his phones fixed to a bicycle that carries him between “Pokestops” have gone viral online, and he has even earned a gig endorsing of a mobile phone brand.
