Africa has always had strong and influential leaders. But the modern era had not seen a better leader of its people than Nelson Mandela. He is remembered not just as the Former President of South Africa but as the Voice of Africa.
The latest speech from the current President of Ghana, Nana Addo Akufo-Addo gives Africa tremendous hope. Young Africans on social media have been heaping praise on Ghana’s president Nana Akufo-Addo for his response to a question at a joint press conference in Accra with the visiting French president Emmanuel Macron.
The question by a local journalist was about whether France was going to strengthen its “support” for other African countries aside its former colonies where the majority of French aid is spent. Ghana won independence from Britain in 1957. After jokingly tossing the question between each other, Macron replied with fairly standard mundane rhetoric.
